Make your Windows laptop superfast | Apply these settings tricks

Here are some tips and tricks that you can use to make your Windows laptop run faster:

  1. Close unnecessary programs and services: Having multiple programs and services running in the background can slow down your laptop. Close any programs and services that you are not using to free up system resources.

  2. Run disk cleanup: Disk cleanup is a built-in utility in Windows that helps remove temporary files, system files, and other unnecessary files from your hard drive. To run disk cleanup, go to the Start menu and search for "disk cleanup."

  3. Defragment your hard drive: Defragmenting your hard drive rearranges the data on your hard drive so that files can be accessed faster. To defragment your hard drive, go to the Start menu and search for "defragment."

  4. Disable startup programs: Many programs are set to start automatically when you boot up your laptop. Disabling these programs can help improve the startup time of your laptop. To disable startup programs, go to the Start menu and type "msconfig" in the search box. Click on the "Startup" tab and uncheck the programs that you do not want to start automatically.

  5. Update your drivers: Outdated drivers can cause conflicts and slow down your laptop. Make sure to keep your drivers up to date by downloading the latest versions from the manufacturer's website.

  6. Use an antivirus program: A good antivirus program can help protect your laptop from malware and other security threats that can slow it down. Make sure to install and regularly update an antivirus program on your laptop.

  7. Reduce the number of programs that run at startup: Some programs are set to start automatically when you boot up your laptop. Disabling these programs can help improve the startup time of your laptop. To disable startup programs, go to the Start menu and type "msconfig" in the search box. Click on the "Startup" tab and uncheck the programs that you do not want to start automatically.

  8. Use a lightweight antivirus program: Some antivirus programs can be resource-intensive and slow down your laptop. Consider using a lightweight antivirus program that does not take up too many system resources.

  9. Use a solid-state drive (SSD): An SSD is faster and more efficient than a traditional hard drive. If your laptop has an SSD, it will boot up and load programs faster.

  10. Reset your laptop: If your laptop is still slow after trying the above tips, you may need to reset it to its default settings. This will erase all the programs and data on your laptop, so make sure to back up your important files before resetting. To reset your laptop, go to the Start menu and click on the "Settings" icon (gear icon). In the Settings window, click on the "Update & Security" category and then click on the "Reset this PC" option. Follow the prompts to reset your laptop.
